Professionalism

As a professional fraternity, one of our main focuses is on furthering professional development for our brothers. We host resume workshops, mock interviews, speaker events, and professional panels so that every brother in our fraternity is better prepared for their career when they leave San Jose State. Our alumni and active brothers all play a role in helping our current brothers grow professionally.

Professionalism has been a very important aspect of my academic career, it is one of our pillar that I truly value since it has made the motivated and hardworking person I am today.
— Ella Goto [R.E.S.I.L.I.E.N.T]
Professionalism is crucial outside of the academic world and our chapter’s focus on professional development through different events has been very helpful to me
— Sean Thornton [R.E.I.G.N]

Brotherhood

One of our most important pillars is brotherhood. We pride ourselves on being deltasigs. even after you leave San Jose State, you remain a lifelong brother. our brothers create lifelong friendships and bonds with each other.

Being a brother of Delta Sigma Pi creates more than just friendships, it gives you a lifelong family. I was given a community that would be there for me in a heartbeat. Being able to surround myself with likeminded individuals has allowed me to grow so much.
— Klenita Kochumon [R.E.S.I.L.I.E.N.T]
Brotherhood is important to me because it represents the culmination of camaraderie and fellowship amongst a group of like-minded individuals. Within Delta Sigma Pi, brotherhood is one of our core pillars, and it signifies the strong sense of mutual respect and friendship between our collegiate brothers.
— Andrew Chang [V.A.L.I.A.N.T]

Community Service

We recognize the importance of giving back to the community and strive to do so in every way possible. From the different events we host to those we partake in, we seek to uphold our social responsibility for our community by participating actively regardless of academic obligations.

Community service is important because it’s about society progressing and understanding the people that make up the community. If you give back the community, the community will always give back to you.
— Sameer Hakim [R.E.I.G.N.]
Engaging in community service not only makes a difference to the organization and people being served, but also the person serving. It is important for everyone to take care of each other and learn to be a part of something greater.
— Daanish Khan [R.E.S.I.L.I.E.N.T]
